Overview
Situated within the historic railway colony at Pratapnagar, which witnessed the inception of the Gaekwar Baroda State Railway, the Railway Museum at Pratapnagar is an integral part of the Railway Heritage Park, established by the Western Railways, Vadodara Division.
We undertook the design and installation of interpretation panels within the ‘Narrow Gauge and Railways in Popular Culture’ gallery at the Railway Museum, Pratapnagar. These interpretation panels, adorned with a vibrant array of images, vividly portray the profound impact of railways in the realms of film, literature, and tribal art. The museum not only celebrates the significance of railways in popular culture but also delves into the historical context of narrow gauge railways. Princely Baroda was among the pioneering states to introduce narrow gauge railways, revolutionizing transportation and trade. In homage to this legacy, our panels also narrate the fascinating global history of narrow gauge railways as part of the narrative of this gallery.
