Overview
As part of the Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes Research and Training Institute (SCSTRTI) initiative to document the indigenous knowledge systems of Odisha’s tribal communities in the four OMBADC districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Jajpur, Myth Interactives was commissioned to produce two documentaries. We have created an 18-minute documentary focusing on the Cultural and Lifestyle of the Santal community and a 12-minute documentary shedding light on the Honey Collection practices of the Hill Kharia tribe, both situated in Mayurbhanj district.
These documentaries were originally produced in English and subsequently dubbed into Odia, Hindi, and the specific tribal language spoken by each respective community. They are now accessible on the YouTube channel of the SCSTRTI.
This project endeavors to preserve and share the rich cultural heritage and traditional knowledge of these indigenous communities, contributing to a deeper understanding of their ways of life and practices.
